Veal Blanquette is a milk-fed veal ragout slowly cooked in a rich creamy sauce. It is another great French Classic dish.It is a selection from our Ottawa frozen prep meals.

This dish comes with a Riz Pilaff

Ingredients: Grain-fed veal, veal stock, white wine, carrots, peas, mushroom, 35%cream, spices.

Heating Instructions; For best result, thaw in refrigerator overnight before heating.

Method 1: Boiling water place bag in a properly sized pot. Cover with cold water and bring to a low boil. Heat for 15-20mn. Remove bag carefully from water. Open bag from the top (using preferably a pair of scissors). Place the content of the bag on a plate and enjoy!

Method 2: Microwave oven. Open bag from the top (using preferably a pair of scissors ). Place the content of the bag in a dish and heat approximately 3-5mn or until it is hot enough to your satisfaction. Do not overcook!

Wine Suggestion: Good with Pinot Noir , Cote du Rhône  or California Chardonnay.

Blanquette de veau is a French veal ragout in which neither the veal nor the butter is browned in the cooking process. To refrain from browning meat and fat in this way is to cook them en blanquette.

Our prepared meals are sold frozen in vacuum bags but are cooked fresh on an order to order basis. So please allow us a minimum of 48hours delivery time to your place from the time you order. We will contact you for the time and day of the delivery.
